Indian Railways

Indian Railways was started in the british rule. After independence of india in 1947 ,its come under the statutory body under the ownership of the Ministry of Railways , Government ,Government of India that operates indi's natonal railways system .It contain world largest fourth national railways system by size, with total route length of :68043 km ,Running track length : 10831 km and track length of : 128305 km as of 31 march 2022 . 50394 km of all the gauge routes are electrified with 25 kV 50Hz AC elecric traction as of 1 april 2022. Data issued by railways ministry ,in 2020 railways carried 808.6 crore (8.086 billion ) passengers and also railways transported 1418.1 million tonnes of freight .

History behind Railways

First time railway proposals for india were made in madras in 1832. at that time india first train were named Red hill railroad which was build by arthur cotton to transport granite for road building and train ran from red hills to chintadripet bridge in madras from 12 september 1837.

Due to nation wide lockdown which were announced by government of india to break the chain of covid-19 virus in 2020 , Indian railways shutdown the service nationwide in the history of india as well railways .

He is the current railways ministry of india ,previously mr vaishanv served as indian administrative service officer . during his tenure worked for many field . he is the alumnus of indian insititue of kanpur with degree of engineering in electronics and communication .After taking the oath for railways minsitry , many changes have been happended in the railways history .
